Born in 1921, in Scarsdale, New York, Raimond del Noce Senior has been involved in the fine arts all his life as a painter and sculptor. His formal education includes degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton School of Architecture and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, where he earned a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs. He also studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Antwerp. Following World War II, during which he served as a Marine Corps Captain in the Pacific, he occupied executive positions with the J. Walter Thompson Company in India, Europe and Canada.

He retired in 1969 as president, and for ten years thereafter had a fiber sculpture studio in Montreal, where he created tapestries for international corporations, He moved to Philadelphia, where he concentrated in the media of watercolor and oil. del Noce has had over thirteen solo shows, won numerous awards, and has his works in museums and galleries , as well as being featured in many group shows.

Rai recently moved to Shelburne, Vermont, where he is evolving new techniques with watercolors.
